{"id":3926,"date":"2026-05-08T07:50:55","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T07:50:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alasca-black.com\/?p=3926"},"modified":"2026-05-08T07:51:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T07:51:58","slug":"kindness-and-airhugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alasca-black.com\/de\/kindness-and-airhugs\/","title":{"rendered":"KINDNESS AND AIRHUGS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I received your air hugs\u2014<br \/>\nkept them safe inside my bags,<br \/>\nthen portioned each soft gift in two:<br \/>\nsome became the balm I rub<br \/>\naround my eyes, into my skin;<br \/>\nsome I steeped as perfume\u2019s hymn\u2014<br \/>\na fragrant pleasure, breathed-in fine,<br \/>\nto make me smell like peace and pine.<\/p>\n<p>I heard your message, saw the sea<br \/>\nin every word you sent to me.<br \/>\nIts meaning swam through troubled mind\u2014<br \/>\nthat race is kind, that hearts unbind.<br \/>\nYou said, \u201cDon\u2019t take it personally,\u201d<br \/>\nyet still, as one who knows, you see<br \/>\na person\u2019s touch can bruise or bless.<br \/>\nSo rest assured\u2014I\u2019ll not confess<br \/>\nto fear, though I am not insured<br \/>\nto dance with wolves, or be lured<br \/>\nwhere lions pace and cheetahs race.<br \/>\nI\u2019ll not be foolish, not debase<br \/>\nmy worth to cuddle bear or curl<br \/>\na crib of snakes\u2014not in this world.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, I won\u2019t kiss a golden dart<br \/>\nto turn to royalty. That art<br \/>\nis lost on me. Your slander party?<br \/>\nIf insults are your music, hardy\u2014<br \/>\nthat\u2019s not my cup of tea. I\u2019m no pig.<br \/>\nI know pigs play, and love the gig<br \/>\nof mud and mire with their own kind.<br \/>\nThey tried to lure me\u2014I declined.<\/p>\n<p>But here\u2019s the bridge: not all games suit<br \/>\nthe ones who wear a different suit.<br \/>\nPigs may not know that not the same<br \/>\nare those who flinch at mud-pond fame.<br \/>\nIn animal world\u2014and we belong\u2014<br \/>\nrespect is law, not right or wrong.<br \/>\nNo man made barriers, no need to sever;<br \/>\nwe guide ourselves, and know forever<br \/>\nthat unity and harmony<br \/>\nare what the wild already see.<\/p>\n<p>The lion keeps its pride of grace,<br \/>\nthe crow its murder, time and place.<br \/>\nA flamboyance of flamingos stands,<br \/>\na tower of giraffes on distant lands.<br \/>\nParliament of owls, skulk of fox,<br \/>\nmob of kangaroos on rocky rocks,<br \/>\nand smack of jellyfish\u2014they flow<br \/>\nwithout the lust to strike a blow.<br \/>\nThey do not kill for fun, you know.<br \/>\nEven the vulture, dressed in black,<br \/>\nis often more than just attack\u2014<br \/>\nmisunderstood, but still a thread<br \/>\nin kindness\u2019 cloth, from foot to head.<\/p>\n<p>I am not self righteous in my pride\u2014<br \/>\nas human, woman, or voice inside.<br \/>\nBut from the depth where kindness starts,<br \/>\nI speak this truth with all my hearts:<br \/>\nI see you\u2014you who have my back.<br \/>\nAnd I see them whose eyes are black.<br \/>\nThank you for the kindness shown,<br \/>\nand thank them for the contrast grown.<br \/>\nI may not easily detect<br \/>\nwhich one is Judas\u2014which reflects<br \/>\na silver coin for my farewell.<br \/>\nBut you shine brighter; I can tell.<\/p>\n<p>So here\u2019s the end, the bag I pack\u2014<br \/>\nthe air hugs folded, no turning back.<br \/>\nI know the time, I know the place<br \/>\nto unpack life\u2019s enduring grace.<br \/>\nKindness and smiles?
